Every year, Time for Kids volunteers collectively donate over 160,000 hours of their time in direct support of children and young people, and through volunteering in other roles.  Current volunteer opportunities available with Time for Kids are listed below. External Assessment Panel Member (professional background required)

We are seeking new members to join our External Assessment Panel with formal qualifications and a professional working background in human services delivery.

The Time for Kids External Assessment Panel is a committee responsible for reviewing carer and mentor assessments developed by the Time for Kids Service Team as part of a rigorous assessment process for applicants seeking to become carers or mentors with the Time for Kids program.

As a volunteer panel member, you will play an invaluable role in the assessment of prospective carers and mentors, and thus directly contribute to the delivery of safe and secure volunteer respite care for the children in our program.

Appointment will be for a two year term.  Panel meetings are held every four to six weeks, for approx. 1.5 hours duration.  Additional time required to review panel reports prior to each meeting. Meetings are held at Enfield Community Centre. DCSI screening and Child Safe Environments Training will be required for this role.

Service Team Support Volunteer – based at Enfield

This position provides a wide variety of administrative support services in a range of functions relating to the delivery of services and support for the carers / mentors in our programs, our children and their families.  Minimum commitment is 2 days work per week, (approx. 15 hours) but days can be flexible.  This role involves a significant amount of on-the-job training given the unique nature of our work, and therefore the role is long term in nature. Refer to our Job and Person Specification for more details.

  • Days are negotiable and meets Centrelink Approval
  • DCSI screening at no cost to volunteer and training provided
  • Reimbursement cost for use of own vehicle

Please Note:  Whist we are a child-focussed NFP providing services to children in need, this volunteer role does not involve direct contact or interaction with the children in our program.

Front of House Volunteer – based at Enfield

This position provides a wide variety of reception, customer service and administrative support services in a range of functions relating to the overall effective and professional function of our office.  The position provides general administrative support to the Operations team staff with a wide variety of tasks related to communications, promotions, projects, finance, fundraising, events and customer service. Minimum commitment is 2 days work per week, (approx. 15 hours) but days can be flexible.  This role involves a significant amount of on-the-job training given the unique nature of our work, and therefore the role is long term in nature.
