Time for Kids - Giving kids a break

Time for Kids helps disadvantaged children and young people by matching them with volunteer carers or mentors on a regular part-time basis, usually one weekend or day a month, or during school holidays.

We aim to give children access to opportunities, positive role models, useful lessons for later in life, acceptance, respect and care. Children have a much needed break from what can often be a stressful home life.

Since 1960, we have helped more than 4700 South Australian children and their families. Today, the need is greater than ever and our waiting list continues to grow.

Please support the wonderful organisations who support Time for Kids. Together, we can make a world of difference for kids in need in South Australia.

'Research has shown that caring, mentoring relationships can result in children at risk of delinquency deal better with adolescence and developing into more self-reliant and responsible adults. This is essentially what Time for Kids has been doing for more than five decades.'
