Volunteer

The children who come to Time for Kids and our volunteers are the very heart and soul of Time for Kids. Over the past 50 years well over 3000 volunteers have helped us to care and support 4500 children in South Australia.

In the past year alone our volunteers contributed a staggering 40,000 volunteer hours.

Research has shown that the positive benefits or respite care and mentoring are maximized from the outset because these wonderful families and individuals perform this invaluable service for all the right reasons. They receive no financial reward, but simply want to give a child a break, with caring and mentoring. They do not replace the child’s own family but support it.

There are a many ways that you can become involved with Time for Kids and make a positive and practical difference to the life of a child in your community.
