Time for Kids is a unique program in South Australia that supports children and families by extending their family and community connections. For almost 60 years, Time for Kids has helped thousands of children and families find support and belonging through meaningful carer and mentor relationships.
Christmas is traditionally a time for family. Many children in our program and their families find Christmas time a bit of a struggle, and many are living under financial pressure. At Time for Kids, we understand how important it is for a child to feel valued and to know that someone is thinking about them. That’s why we provide Christmas gifts to up to 350 children each year. We make sure that every child in our program, along with their siblings, has the opportunity to receive at least one present on Christmas day, so that they may have a brighter Christmas with their families.
This Christmas, you can make a difference to the children in our program by collecting gifts to donate, volunteering your time to wrap gifts, or making a donation online.
“Many young people in the Time for Kids program go without a Christmas gift, this small gesture gives them something to look forward to.”
‘A big part of the work we do at Time for Kids is placing children who are dealing with multiple complexities in their lives and the lives of their families with committed, ongoing and treasured carer and mentor relationships. Your support means a lot to the kids in this program.’ Nikki Hartmann, Time for Kids Program Manager.
